This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
